The short version
- Every calculation on this site runs in your web browser. Your birth date, chapters, and any other details you enter are never sent to our servers or to anyone else.
- To remember your calendar between visits, we save your settings in your browser's local storage on your own device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
- We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, as described below.
- We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are used, in aggregate.
Information you enter
The life calendar and calculators ask for a birth date and, optionally, life chapters, a poster title, and a life table choice. This information is processed only in your browser. It is not transmitted to us, logged, or shared. Images you download and pages you print are generated on your device.
Your settings are stored in your browser's localStorage under keys beginning with 'coyl:'. This data stays on your device. If your browser blocks storage, the site still works, but it will not remember your calendar.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. For more on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Where required by law, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, consent for personalized ads is requested through a Google-certified consent message. Some U.S. states give residents additional rights over targeted advertising; you can exercise them through the opt-out links above and your browser's privacy controls.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. Analytics collects standard technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, and referring site. It never receives your birth date or chapters. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to prevent this.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this information to identify individuals.
Children
The site is a general-audience educational tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The kid's life calendar template is intended to be printed by parents and teachers.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: contact@calendarofyourlife.com.
